2009 is Coming!!

How exciting!! However, I usually start the new year on my birthday in August, but the actual New Years is something to be cheerful about too. I know a lot of people are making resolutions and promises to better themselves this year, but..I believe in always making new and small resolutions everyday!

I've created this little glass jar and I've put positive sayings on it. For example, one says, "Name ten things you are thankful for" And so, you can either think about it or say it out loud. And what that does is it reminds you to be grateful and to appreciate the people around you. I call it "Random Acts of Kindness" and it's in my room.

So that's one way to always circulate those resolutions in an everyday form :)

Now that the holiday parties and get-together's are over, it's fun to just relax for a bit before school starts again, I have a pretty laid-back semester ahead of me but I know I'll have to be on my laptop doing my assignments for my 2 online classes! I'm kind of looking forward to that.

Anyhew, Happy 2009 Everyone!!!

Questioning

There will be a time in your life, when some things in your life will be questioned.

A time when what you've learned in school and from your parents---is essentially, not what will get you far in life. A time when you reconsider your friendships, your family and those around you.

Because the ones you've looked up to and been friends for years, suddenly seems different and awkward. When you realize that your ways of thinking are beginning to be different. When your higher level of consciousness begins to kick in and you wonder, if the relationships that you've built up are meant to be.

And so you begin to wonder and seek what it is that you want in your life. A sort of awakening of oneself.

In my opinion, I think that I have been awakened and I intend to find individuals who understand this sense of awakening.

Planning for a Graduation Party

Now, I know some of you readers have planned or attended a graduation party at some point in your life, or have even heard about one, but I, I am in charge of my older brother's college, family graduation party to be held this Saturday.

With the help of my mom, this family dinner party should be fun with a lot of food. And I am not quite sure how Party Planners do it, but sometimes I get so stressed out, that I myself forget to have fun and relax. So, I planned ahead, I sent some e-invites on punchbowl and to make matters worse, half the guests have read the e-invite but haven't commented or RSVP'd and that ticks me off because then you will just have to guess who's coming. And I thought e-invites would make things easier, but I guess I was wrong. So if you're an event coordinator or party planner, I give you a lot of praise because it is a truckload of things to be done!

I did shop and got all of the party necessities such as the plates, napkins, spoons, etc... and that kind of saved me some time.

Also, I took some graduation pictures of my brother (which look way professional if I may say so myself) and I'm thinking of printing a big picture of him and placing it somewhere and making it a signature board; where people write their college experiences and wishes for his college after-life? But, I'm still not sure yet on what direction I want to o with the whole picture thing. Any ideas anyone??

\\ switchin gears here //

Well, so I was on Facebook earlier and I got to chat with one of my cousins (acutally aunt but she's around my age, so I call her my cousin) and we got to start talking about what to do after college. And she had this bright idea of opening her own business and the ideas were a little wishy-washy but I loved her entrepreneur mindset and being your own boss. I think that is so important nowadays but to get there is a major risk and passion to achieve that goal. So I fully supported her on her what she called "cheesy-idea" when it was an amazing idea to me.

and so that's what's on my cabeza, until next time!

Blogging

Hi to whoever reads this,

It's me Kimbundance. I wanted to talk about Blogging today and my past history with blogging. I used to blog on Xanga and I kept up with if for awhile even when my peers told me it was for young teens who just rambled on about what they did everyday but, I still continued to blog and I have some recent entires on there.

But then I decided that it's almost 2009 and I need a fresh Blog, one where I can write about what I'm learning and new epiphanies and experiences I may have.

So, tune in and I'll be sure to give my positive insight on important matters. I am into self-imporvement and self-realization topics, so feel free to ask me questions or leave a comment.

Ok, that's all
